Welcome

We are so happy to welcome you and your furry family members to join our family here at AMH! We are thankful for the opportunity to care for your furry four-legged friends. Here at Animal Medical Hospital, we take great pride in providing our patients and their parents the best care possible. We are very excited to meet you and your pets! Listed below are some of our recommendations for you to prepare for your first appointment with us:

Prior To Your Appointment

  • Please bring a fecal sample for your new puppy/kitten and/or if your pet is experiencing any loose stool.
  • Your pet’s fecal sample should be 2 hours fresh or placed in the refrigerator prior to your appointment.
  • Please send all of your pet’s previous medical records to our email address (hello@amhpasadena.com). If you do not have any records, please give us your previous animal hospital’s name and phone number so we can retrieve the records before your appointment.
  • If your pet is experiencing any unusual coughing or sneezing, we do ask for you and your pet to wait outside and give us a call upon your arrival. One of our technicians will meet you outside to examine your pet.

When Arriving to Your Appointment

  • Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your appointment to fill out our check-in form, find parking, and allow the front desk staff to scan in any previous records you may have.
  • We do have a back parking lot; however, it is small, so please be aware that parking on the street may be needed. Street parking around our facility has a 2-hour limit.
  • To create a safe and healthy environment for you, your furry family members, and our team members, a fully worn face mask covering both nose and mouth is required if you are ill. If you do not have a face mask, we will provide one.

Cancellation Policies:

  • The $35 Retainer fee that was taken when booking your first appointment will only be refunded if your appointment is canceled or rescheduled 24 hours before the appointment.
  • Due to the high demand for veterinary care, Doctor and Technician appointments must be canceled at least 24 hours prior to the time of the appointment. If the client does not show up or cancels an appointment less than 24 hours before the appointment, a $35 fee will be incurred (i.e.
    Monday appointments must be canceled by Saturday at 3 PM since our hospital is closed on Sundays).
  • If an appointment is booked the day before or for the same day, please cancel at least 2 hours prior to the appointment time to avoid a $35 cancellation fee.
